Analysis of the prevalence and structure of periodontal tissue diseases among persons working in the enterprise of the primary woodworking industry of Chernivtsi region

Abstract

Purpose: analysis of the structure of periodontal tissue diseases among the employees of the primary woodworking industry enterprise.
Materials and methods. 111 employees of the primary woodworking industry were examined, 78 of them were the main group, having contact with unfavorable factors of the production environment, 33 - the control group.
Results of the study. We found a significant dependence of the severity of periodontal tissue diseases on the length of work in the industry (p < 0.05). An increase in the incidence of chronic generalized periodontitis among workers in the main group was found with an increase of work experience.
Conclusions. Therefore, prolonged contact with unfavorable factors in the production environment has a significant impact on the emergence and progression of periodontal tissue diseases in workers.
