Abstract

Summary. Widespread dental caries among population is an urgent problem for Ukraine and many countries of the world. Restoring the crown of chewing teeth by photocomposite material has become a daily practice for most dentists in the world. Most often, the performing of such restoration is a multi-stage and labor-intensive manipulation. Performing of restorations requires not only an ideal knowledge of the anatomy of the occlusal surfaces of the posterior teeth but also needs developed manual skills in the process of harmonizing the performed restoration in the areas of tubercle-fissure contacts of the antagonist teeth. In such clinical cases there are indications to use the occlusal matrix (stamp) technique to simplify tooth restoration. A clinical case is described – the restoration of three teeth of a chewing group using an occlusal matrix made of PeroxiDam and a filling nano-hybrid photocomposite Jen-Favorite LC.
Key words: teeth, caries, treatment, photocomposite, stamp.
