Abstract

Summary. The features of preparation and restoration of teeth with defects of I and V classes are considered. by Black. Of interest is the similar structure of the cavities (the presence of all four walls) with their different location, which leads to differences in the functions performed by the restorations. As a result of preparation a class I cavity approaches a box-shaped cavity with sheer walls. In class V, the gingival wall is formed at an acute angle, the enamel bevel is created in the direction of the equator. Restoration of teeth with photocurable materials provides for smoothing of the corners, which reduces the risk of the consequences of polymerization shrinkage. The use of glass ionomer cements expands the indications for microinvasive intervention while maintaining the high quality of treatment. The filling stages strictly correspond to the instructions and protocols of work in therapeutic dentistry.
