Резюме. У статті представлено сучасну міжнародну класифікацію захворювань пародонта та обґрунтовано доцільність її використання у практиці дитячої стоматології. Підкреслено необхідність проведення ранньої діагностики стану тканин пародонта в кожної дитини шляхом визначення симптому кровоточивості ясен. Надано харак еристику клінічних проявів у дітей різних форм гінгівіту, асоційованого із зубною біоплівкою.
